There is currently a civil war within the Black Community men vs. women. Are you sleeping with the enemy or loving your ally? Black men and women in America have been fighting the forces of racism for hundreds of years and fighting each other off and on for that same amount of time. This war is not a naturally occurring conflict but one orchestrated by White slave owners to control their Black slaves as laid out in the infamous “Willie Lynch Letter.” Throughout the course of the conflict Black women have had a powerful ally in the White male. White men set out to make Black women independent and at the same time emasculating Black men by beating them in front of their women. While slavery ended years ago the mindset of slavery has been past down from generation to generation with both Black and White people.

There was a time when the Black woman was able to see through the schemes of racist and they fought against it refusing to become romantically involved with their White cohorts. However, deep seated resentment of the Black man, and the Black woman’s constant professing of her independence prevented the family from stabilizing. Now, after a brief period of economic prosperity and political gains for Black men, Black women have re-allied themselves with their white co-conspirators and Black men are again being marginalized.

This time however, the battle is different because Black women have decided to abandon Black men on all fronts and they are flat out excluding Black men from the dating, marrying, education, and employment pool and only going after White men and men of any other race other than their own. Black men too are dating interracially however Black men are not leaving the community. Black women on the other hand are leaving in by the scores and taking their much needed intellectual, financial, and spiritual resources with them.

Interracial relationships are not the problem in the Black community the problem is that many Blacks practice intra-racial racism.

If you invited a friend over for dinner and offered them nearly all that you had only to discover that they were stealing from you would you invite them back? would you continue that friendship? The State of Israel has had America as a best friend since its modern day inception. The United States has shared secrets, intelligence, and technology with Israel so there is no need to for them to steal from us but they consistently spy on our country. As an American how do you stand in opposition to the behaviors of Israel without being labeled an anti-Semite? I take issue with Israel not because of the ethnic make up of its citizenry but because of it’s polices that violate U.S. national security and tarnish America’s already fragile international reputation.

The United Stated has long been courting friends and allies in the Middle East however; those efforts have been hampered by our close relationship with Israel. One of the loudest complaints lodged against the U.S. by Arab nations in the Middle East is that America is providing Israel with weapons and weapons technology used to attack their countries and civilians in violation of the United States own Arms Export Control Act of which states, “Sec. 4.44 Purposes for Which Military Sales by the United States Are Authorized.—Defense articles and defense services shall be sold or leased by the United States Government under this Act to friendly countries solely for internal security, for legitimate Self-defense.” Israel has violated this section of the agreement by using war planes and cluster bombs for offensive measures against civilian targets in its 2006 conflict against Lebanon. Because of this violation the transfer of weapons and weapons technology to Israel should be suspended. One could even make the argument that because of it espionage activities against the United States Israel should have its friendly nation status revoked and aid to Israel should be halted until further review of the stability of our countries relationship.

Each and every presidential candidate must profess their undying love for Israel and to do otherwise would be to commit political suicide. However, if any of these same candidates were to offer the same level of affection to any other country that had violated our national security that candidate would be labeled as weak or worse, anti-American. So how do we get our candidates to put American interest first? Why should we expect our presidential candidates to treat Israel as a friendly nation when they assault our sovereignty by spying on us and consistently violate U.S. arms agreements?

To be clear I am not some sort of Zionist that does not believe Israel should exist. I fully support the right of Israel to exist as an independent nation and as any other nation caught practicing espionage against the U.S. and violating arms agreements they should be punished swiftly and severely with economic political sanctions in accordance with United Nations articles.

The thing that makes me question the validity of the love that interracial couples share is that when asked why they started to date interracially it often has much more to do with things they don’t like about their own race rather than things they like about the people they are dating. On the other hand some of that faith is restored knowing that for most people to date interracially is to meet with scorn from both their respective communities and those who willingly accept that must share something greater than superficial desires.

So if people are dating interracially for the right reasons, because of personal attraction and general interest, and marrying for the right reasons, love and compatibility, then how do we look at race moving forward? Is race to be viewed as just a physical attribute, a feature that some prefer over others like blue eyes rather than green or red hair instead of blond? If you consider yourself a “breast man” because you like breast is it now then ok for people to consider themselves “black men” because they like Black women?

Finally, if race is now just a feature of preference like long legs or nice pecks then should people be offended if others only prefer those that are Black, Asian or otherwise? Women have said they have been offended when guys are only attracted to them because they have big boobs or a round butt, should one be then offended if someone is only attracted to them because they are Black or White?

With a Blackman as a viable candidate for the Democratic nomination for the President of The United States of America in Barak Obama is it wrong for a black person to vote for or support Hilary Clinton over Barak Obama? Many Black people have been labeled “sellouts,” “coons,” and “Uncle Toms” is this fair? Is it a fair political tactic for friends and family to use peer pressure to get votes for Barak Obama based on race? With two candidates that have similar policy positions and members of the same political party should Black people feel obligated to vote for the Black candidate over the candidate?

If you watch some of todays biggest TV hit series from across the genre board you will find that Black men and women are not being cast opposite of each other as love interest. For instance, in the Showtime series “Weeds” they show a Black man with White women and on the Sci-Fi Channel’s hit series Battlestar Gallactica there is a Black woman with a White man. On regular network television it is the same situation if you look a “Lost” there is a Black woman and White man, and on Heroes there is a Black man with a White woman. Are the networks trying to say that the viewing public will not believe or accept Black people loving each other or are the networks attempting to mentally and emotionally condition the Black community into believing that as a Black person in order for you to be happy you must date marry and mate with someone outside of your race?

If the numbers of shows with interracial relationships was a more realistic number or even at a more equitable ratio of Black love to interracial love I would give the media the benefit of the doubt but they don’t deserve that benefit and need to be called out on their blatantly racist and destructive behavior.
